The two images to the left are actually the same lightning strike. The top image was taken using Fuji 64 Tungsten slide film and the bottom image was captured on a Nikon Coolpix 995 digital camera.

Rapid City, South Dakota
A brief thunderstorm produced some intense lightning over Rapid City. I was trying out a Nikon Coolpix 995 digital camera and successfully captured two images with it. These two images are reddish in color. The remaining images were captured on Fuji 64 Tungsten slide film and these images have a blue cast.
